Hearing Tests
Greenspan Audiology offers comprehensive hearing tests in Briarcliff Manor for adults of all ages. The purpose of a hearing test is to identify hearing loss and the degree present (mild, moderate, moderately severe, severe or profound). The hearing test itself is quick and easy. Our audiologist will use the results to determine the best treatment plan that allows you to hear again.
Whether you’ve noticed changes in your hearing or you just want a routine check-up, a hearing test is the first step toward better hearing health and overall well-being.

Tinnitus Treatment
Tinnitus, also known as “ringing in the ears,” is when you hear phantom sounds in your ears or head. These are typically described as a buzzing, humming, ringing, whistling, or other sound that is not externally present. Millions of people experience tinnitus at some point in their lifetime. And it can range from occasional to consistent. For those who hear ringing in the ears on a frequent basis, it can affect quality of life, sleep, and concentration.
At Greenspan Audiology, our hearing specialists can help patients overcome tinnitus. To identify tinnitus, we will perform a full hearing evaluation. If identified, we carry tinnitus masking hearing aids that can help alleviate the perception of tinnitus. Although hearing aids won’t stop ringing in the ears completely, they can help by offering relief.
Hearing Aid Repairs
Even the most advanced hearing aids may need occasional repairs due to wear, damage, or performance issues. At Greenspan Audiology, we offer expert hearing aid repair services to keep your devices working their best. Whether it’s a minor fix or a more complex issue, our team will assess the problem and get your hearing aids back to optimal function as quickly as possible, so you don’t miss a moment.
We recommend bringing your hearing aids in for regular maintenance checks every few months. This will ensure your devices last you for a long time. During a maintenance check our team will expertly clean your devices and fine-tune them.
Earwax Management
Earwax, also known as cerumen, is a natural sign of healthy ears. Normally, earwax works itself outside of the ear canal naturally, however, sometimes it can build-up and become impacted; this is especially common in hearing aid wearers.
Clogged ears due to earwax can result in muffled hearing, itchiness, and discomfort. At Greenspan Audiology, we can gently flush wax out of the ear, so you can feel, and hear, your best again.
Custom Earbuds and Earmolds
Great performances start with great sound, and that means protecting your hearing. Traditional stage monitors and loud amplifiers can expose musicians to dangerously high volumes, often pushing ear monitors to unsafe levels just to be heard. In-ear monitors change the game by delivering crisp, personalized audio straight to your ears, cutting through the noise without turning up the volume.
Today’s musicians rely on in-ear monitors for a custom fit, excellent sound quality, and safer listening. With better control and reduced exposure to damaging sound levels, you can focus on what matters most: staying connected to your music and performing at your best, without putting your hearing at risk.
Captioned Phones
Captioned phones have a built-in screen to display what the person on the other line is saying in text. These are great for those with hearing loss as they display the conversation in real time.
Captioned phones are often free if a qualified hearing care professional signs a certification form that details your hearing loss and your need for a captioned telephone service. High-speed internet and a landline telephone are both required to use the service. If captioned phones sound like technology that would be useful for you, please contact our office for more information.
